Workshop Description

Let your creativity flow as we blend structure and spontaneity in this peaceful, nature-inspired painting experience.

In this guided workshop, you’ll create your own unique painted landscape on a natural 8” x 10” wooden canvas handcrafted in the 43 Artisan Co. Woodshop — made from smooth poplar, shaped with routered edges, and ready for display with optional hanging hardware included. No two canvases are alike, making your piece as one-of-a-kind as the artwork you’ll create.

We’ll start with approachable design references and compositional guides to help you find inspiration, then gently lead you through layering, blending, and finishing techniques while encouraging you to relax, explore, and paint from the heart.

You’ll explore how to:

• Work with the natural wood grain as part of your composition

• Use color, texture, and brushwork to convey atmosphere and emotion

• Add optional metallic or textural accents for depth and contrast

• Attach a simple hanging fixture to proudly display your finished piece

You’ll leave with a completed 8x10 wooden painting that’s deeply personal, full of character, and ready to hang in your home.

All tools and materials are provided, along with light refreshments and access to our full coffee and cocoa bar.
